About this study

Thanks for stopping by my site. I decided last year (2015) to do a Bible study/commentary while going through the Bible chronologically. It is geared more towards those who haven't read much of the Bible... Join me on this journey?

I will be posting from time to time this year on various topics!

May 6: Psalm 89, 96, 100, 101, 105, 132

May 6, Psalm 89, 96, 100, 101, 105, 132

Psalm 89 David loved God, God loved David. God loved the Israelites, but will they love God? Unfortunately, they lived in disobedience and then they wonder where God is when they cry out. God’s love is steadfast and enduring and we are to bless Him.

Psalm 96 There is only one God to worship. Only one God to give our lives to. He saves us now and for eternity. Declare these truths everywhere you go to all people because He is great. That alone is reason enough to give your lives to Him and worship Him. Glory to God!!!

Psalm 100 This is a true ‘call to worship’ - worship God alone. Serve Him with a happy heart and never forget He is the one who created you. He protects us because we are His people, so give Him incredible thanks! He will always be good…

Psalm 101 Don’t ever let anyone have anything against you… Walk with integrity at your core, keeping your eyes focused on God Almighty. Those against God and for themselves will come to ruin someday. God’s love is everlasting and amazing - don’t fight it! Embrace the God who loves you and serve Him with all your might.

Psalm 105 Let us celebrate God’s faithfulness always, call upon His holy name and proclaim His goodness! Always seek God’s will and direction for your life and never forget what He has done for you. God’s promises will be kept - He didn't make them in haste, and He takes care of His people. The Psalmist reminds us of all the things that God has done for His people - we have to stop and remember what God has done for us.

Psalm 132  This Psalm recalls God’s goodness and provisions when things were tough. The Psalmist even pleads for God’s love for the sake of David and the promises made to David. God will deliver them and us!

To sum it all up:
  • God doesn't forget His promises or His people, even though sometimes our emotions get the best of us.
