June 8, Proverbs 16-18

Proverbs 16 is a powerful chapter. God is Sovereign and guides all things. Within that we make plans. We are to commit them to the Lord. Plan for them, yes - but God is the One who ordains our steps! Seek wisdom above all other things, this should make even more sense in your planning…

Be gracious in your words to others and don’t trust your own ways. Be who God has made you to be - if you are aging and have gray hair, Praise God! It is a crown of glory… Yes!

Proverbs 17 A few verses that really speak to me are about how we are to seek to have peace and not strife. In living your life, care for the poor. Grandchildren are a gift from God and a crown for us should we get them. We are to cover offenses with love, so be understanding!

Proverbs 18 has numerous great Proverbs in it. So be wise and seek out God in all you do. Don’t be a fool, it will go bad for you. Wealth is not where we run, but we run to God.

To sum it all up:

• Do you commit your plans to the Lord, or is that an afterthought for you when it doesn't work out as good as you hoped?
• Sorry it was so short today. Stay in the Word and believe God at His Word!
