June 15, Psalm 134, 146-150
Psalm 134 is short but sweet. This is a prayer of praise when the Temple was completed with Solomon. They are praising God for what He had done, as we should be doing as well!
Psalm 146 - Psalm 150 are paired together with intensive praise to God. Each chapter starts and ends with Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord! Our hope is in they only King - the True King, God Almighty, Yahweh! Don't put your trust in people, but put your trust in God - who is the only one who can save you. We are called to godly living 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Continually in prayer and trusting of God. Man cannot set you free, open your eyes, lift you up or watch over you - not the way that God can. God’s ability to care for you and take care of you is limitless. Praise the Lord!
Psalm 147 Praise the Lord! God sustains all of His creation and especially His people. Praise Him! God also heals the brokenhearted and heals us. Where is your heart? If you are humble, God will lift you up and sustain you. If you are wicked you will be cast out. Do not rely on your own strength, but rely on God’s! Praise the Lord!
Psalm 148 Praise the Lord! He is truly the ‘Boss’ of us all, but a loving and caring all seeing Boss. Praise His name… He is the Creator of all and what He says goes. All people are to praise Him, not just a certain demographic or ethnic race. Praise the Lord!
Psalm 149 Praise the Lord! Sing to God with humility and gratitude and be glad in Him. God takes pleasure in His people, and he enhances the humble with salvation. God’s people are protected. Maybe not how we would think - but what is best for His purpose and plan. Praise the Lord!
Psalm 150 Praise the Lord! This is the final Psalm, a doxology of sorts. Praise God for His mighty deeds and excellent greatness - that should be enough to make you smile! Make music to God, declare His goodness. Let everything that has breath, Praise the Lord!
To sum it all up:
- Don’t put your trust in princes, or men. Put your trust in God!
- Are you brokenhearted? If you are in need of healing, trust God for those needs. Man will fail you and only God can truly heal you.
- Humbly accept and love God Almighty
