September 11, Ezekiel 44-45
Ezekiel continued…
Ezekiel 44 Ezekiel was brought back to the outer gate of the Sanctuary. I want to jump in and remind you that Ezekiel is referring to future events that have not yet happened… God told Ezekiel that the gate is to remained closed as God has shut it. The prince will be able to enter in, but not through the gate… This is highly debated as to who the prince is. Truth is, it is not clear as to who he is.
God wants the Levitical priests to go back to the basics of serving Him - as it was before, God will be their inheritance. Same rules apply to minister to God.
Ezekiel 45 God gives direction to Ezekiel on how to divide up the land. God will take a certain area for Himself and the Temple. God wants this new kingdom to be just. The way they balance and measure things will be different than before. God also sets up how He wants the sacrifices done. Hopefully His people won’t forget God again in the future and whore after what they want.
To sum it all up:
- All of the prophetic readings of today are for future events yet to occur. The big picture - God will redeem His people and already set that up a very long time ago. Are you on His team?
